We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Cleaning Services Manager to join the Cleaning Services team across the University of Warwick’s Training and Conference Centres, a fast-paced hotel environment. Campus Cleaning Services provides cleaning across 7,076 campus bedrooms, 358 hotel rooms and 67 University buildings. We are looking for an individual to assist in leading the team to achieve quality standards, maintain systems and safety procedures and to deliver a cost effective, efficient and customer focused Assistant Management. The role will also support and deputise for the Cleaning Services Manager. Flexibility is Essential for this role as it involves regular weekend work throughout the year based on business levels and occasional evening shifts. The role is campus based. As Assistant Cleaning Services Manager you will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and maintenance expected from a 4 star hotel establishment, working closely with the Conference team. You will need to be a good team player, who works well with others and is keen to provide excellent customer service for our guests, staff and visitors to the University’s Training and Conference Centres. About you You will have experience of working in a 4 star Hotel/Conference Centre or other equivalent relevant experience. Experience of managing a team of 20 staff. Lead and motivate a team of Supervisors, Cleaning Assistants and Linen Porters. Maintain standard operating procedures for the Housekeeping department. Carry out frequent inspections of all areas to ensure standards are maintained. Implement cleaning schedules for both day and evening staff. Manage a schedule for all periodic cleaning and monitor standards. Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety legislation.
