Role Info We're hybrid by default — some of the team work from the office 2–3 days a week, others less. You're welcome to shape a rhythm that works for you. Our office is based in Old Street, London.
Design that helps people find the right job - and helps organisations find the right people.
At ThirtyThree, we create digital experiences that connect talent with opportunity. From careers websites to digital campaigns and custom tools, our work is all about helping brands build better relationships with the people they need.
Now, we're looking for a midweight UI/UX Designer to join our team - someone with a strong eye for design, a thoughtful approach to users, and a drive to do meaningful work. You'll be working closely with our in-house strategists, developers and UXers on impactful projects - including our award-winning platform, 33Mercury.
What the role's all about
Most candidates land straight on a job description. That's why we built 33Mercury - to turn those moments into engaging, personalised experiences that reflect what each brand stands for.
In this role, you'll help design those journeys - crafting clear, consistent and intuitive interfaces that bring employer brands to life and support better outcomes for candidates.
You'll:
* Turn sketches, ideas and wireframes into high-fidelity, accessible UI
* Design for web and mobile with responsive and inclusive experiences in mind
* Work closely with UXers, strategists, writers and developers
* Present your ideas clearly to teammates and clients
* Help build and evolve design systems
* Contribute to a shared understanding of user needs, content hierarchy and interaction
* Stay curious, experiment where it makes sense, and help move things forward
What we're looking for
You'll bring around 4+ years of UI/UX experience and a portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful design, strong attention to detail, and an understanding of user needs. You'll also have:
* A solid understanding of user-centred design and responsive web principles
* Strong skills in Figma (Photoshop is a bonus)
* Experience contributing to and using design systems
* Confidence presenting ideas and collaborating with others
* A problem-solving mindset and a flexible, thoughtful approach to feedback
* An interest in how brands show up digitally and how design can support that
* Familiarity with motion or front-end code
* Experience using AI-assisted design tools (e.g. for wireframing, prototyping or content support)
* Understanding of careers sites, employer branding, or ATS platforms
* A good grasp of accessibility principles and inclusive design
* Curiosity about how content, data and UX come together
What you'll be part of
You'll report to our Digital Creative & UX Director, and work as part of a supportive, cross-functional team that values collaboration, creativity and craft. Our design, UX and dev teams work closely together from idea to delivery - and beyond.
You'll get to work on projects that genuinely help people - supporting some of the world's best-known brands as they hire, grow and evolve. You'll also help shape the future of products like 33Mercury, designed to make candidate experiences smarter and more human.
