40 hours per week (Monday – Friday + On-Call Out of Hours Rota)
Thrive Homes is seeking a Gas and Electrical Supervisor to deliver a high-quality gas and electrical service to Thrive Homes’ buildings and other client properties in accordance with Company plans and legislation. Managing the THS Gas operatives and electrical team, you will ensure that we deliver a cost-effective and competitive repairs service on day-to-day gas, cyclical, electrical repairs, home servicing, and any other building-related projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the delivery of team objectives by actively encouraging good performance and productivity; promptly deal with poor or below-standard performance or behaviours.
2. Set and manage objectives for the team and regularly review in line with business and strategic plans.
3. Actively encourage Continuous Professional Development.
4. Encourage team creativity and innovation and create an environment for this to develop.
5. Work in accordance with our policies & procedures relating to the delivery of building/building services maintenance works, ensuring they are in line with legal requirements & good practice.
6. Ensure the team delivers Gas and Electrical works ensuring they are compliant.
7. Using reporting tools, manage functional budgets and monitor relevant KPIs putting solutions in place when they are falling below the target.
8. Provide out of hours support to Thrive Homes on a rotational basis.
9. Undertake any other reasonable duties/projects as required by your line manager/senior manager.
Requirements:
1. Substantial experience of working within a similar position managing a repairs team is essential.
2. It is essential to hold a qualification in either Gas or Electrical. Gas safe for Gas competent NIC, and/or EIC for Electrical.
3. A minimum of 18th Edition.
4. Strong experience of working within a Gas or Electrical position.
5. Previous housing experience would be highly beneficial.
