We are looking for a hands on Finance Manager to run the day to day finance function for a set of expanding family run businesses.
The right candidate must;
- Be proficient in Sage, Xero, Microsoft Excel & Word- Have excellent organisational skills- Have proven knowledge of financial accounting - Be confident with VAT and be confident with partial exemptions- Have payroll & pensions experience- Preferably be qualified to AAT Level 4 or higher (although qualified by experience will be considered). - Have strong communication skills and a positive hands-on approach to their work.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting as they will be responsible for preparing financial statements and reports for 3 companies.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move out of practice or someone already working in a financial team to take the lead.

Duties will include;
Daily bookkeeping including creating sales invoices& the inputting of purchase invoices, bank and loan reconciliations.
Maintaining all debtors and creditors schedules.
Credit control & supplier payments.
Quarterly VAT returns (including partial exemption)
Management accounts & balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets registers, accruals, prepayments, deferred income and stock management.
Company Payroll & Pensions
Organising utilities etc when they are due
Staff management & organisation
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the company being the only Finance employee so they must be confident in ensuring that the accounts are correct.
