This is an exciting opportunity to join the Quality, Safety & Improvement Directorate of the NHS Wales Executive and be part of a team providing effective, efficient and high-level administrative and business support to the all-Wales Nurse Staffing Programme, enabling the delivery of the programme objectives on time and in full.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to provide administrative, business and corporate support to the Nurse Staffing Programme. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who has the ability to work under pressure, can multi-task and can effectively prioritise. The post-holder will be fundamental to coordinating and supporting the programme and the team.
The successful candidate will be part of a friendly, supportive and innovative team within the newly established NHS Executive and will receive an induction programme, have access to a range of supportive mechanisms and a wealth of opportunities to develop knowledge and skills. The NHS Executive offers flexible and agile working arrangements and supports hybrid working with attendance in their main office (Capital Quarter, Cardiff) as required by the team.
The post holder will be part of a team, playing a key role in supporting and improving the day-to-day operations of the All-Wales Nurse Staffing Programme, providing high-level administrative and business support. This will include supporting project management, finance, procurement, planning and performance, HR, recruitment, risk management and health & safety, as well as contributing to a range of activities and projects to support the delivery of the All-Wales Nurse Staffing Programme.
Working closely with colleagues across the team and across NHS Executive, the Business Support Manager will be responsible for administrative duties, collating and managing information and providing regular updates and reports, often including sensitive, confidential and contentious information.
We have a desire to strengthen our team by recruiting individuals from diverse backgrounds with a mix of skills, personalities and experiences - considering candidates from both an NHS background as well as other sectors where relevant experience is demonstrable. The base for the post will be determined upon appointment. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post.
