Are you an experienced and dynamic Depot Supervisor looking for your next permanent position? We are currently recruiting for an experienced Depot Supervisor to hold direct responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our Cement depot in South Lanarkshire. You will be responsible for managing the depot operatives, craftsmen and contractors, liaising closely with the company’s functional managers. You will support the development of others, strive for continuous improvement and provide leadership with a strong focus on safety and people. You will be responsible for the application of all Tarmac management processes, co-operating with other supply chain teams including engineering and distribution alongside the management of all engineering activities plus environmental, safety and quality procedures. Main ResponsibilitiesAs the successful Depot Supervisor, reporting into the National Engineering Manager, you will assist with the development, operation and maintenance strategies for all plant and associated equipment alongside developing, managing and delivering the annual site improvement plan. Working times may vary occasionally to suit the operation and meet customer demand. As the successful Depot Supervisor, your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include (not exhaustive): Developing, implementing and maintaining safety, housekeeping and environmental practices in support of the Company’s internal and External standards Driving performance targets to achieve or exceed the business plan Maintaining bulk and bagged stocks to company procedures Executing planned maintenance schedules for all plant and equipment Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and the internal company safety, health, environmental and quality standards Assisting with development and delivery of the depot business plan alongside the site improvement plan Working closely with internal teams, optimising and developing safe and efficient operation of the depot plant and handling facilities Working alongside the Transport team to aid compliances with Transport Operating License requirements and Tarmac Transport procedures Line management responsibility for direct reports within the depotThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal Depot Supervisor will be able to demonstrate previous operational management experience with the ability to work independently, making day-to-day decisions regarding the safe and efficient operation of the depot. An awareness of Transport Operating Licenses would be beneficial. You will also possess the following; Safety qualification - minimum IOSH Managing Safety (NEBOSH preferred) Operator’s License Awareness Training National CPC would be desirable but not essential IT literate in JDE, TFP, VAS Applications and Microsoft Office application Full Current Driving LicenseThe Depot Supervisor role is based at Uddingston, Glasgow.
