Personal Assistant-Chorley
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a gentleman with mild learning difficulties, minor speech problems and mobility problems within the local community.
The client’s main interests in life is sport, mainly Football. The client is looking for someone with similar interests so that he can be supported and accompanied to access the community to attend sporting events such as Darts, Snooker and Football matches. He also enjoys going to the Zoo and eating out. He is not so keen on noisy places, bright flashing lights or being rushed. He is a very good swimmer and also likes to play table tennis.
The main duties will include supporting and accompanying the client to attend the following activities for leisure/socialising:
• Gym, swimming, and visiting the pub to play pool and darts.
• Occasionally going out for meals.
If you are interested in supporting others, have a keen interest in sport, have lots of patience and enthusiasm then we would like to hear from you. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, but a positive attitude and good work ethic is essential. You must have a good sense of humour, be friendly, and have excellent communication.
A driver with a full clean license and room to accommodate the client’s wheelchair is essential.
This is a part time position for 10.5 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.50 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
