Role - UPS Engineer
Location – London and South of England
Hours – Monday to Friday (Days) 37.5 hours per week
Package - £45k plus Door to Door pay (OTE £53k) Overtime at x1.5 and x2.0

The Company
The Business is one of the biggest Engineering and Electronics manufacturers in the World. Operating across all sectors of Engineering and Manufacturing, they have an incredibly broad portfolio of products and solutions to offer.
This particular role sits within their Uninterrupted Power Supply Division, which supplies to Data Centres, Hospitals and Research Facilities. Supplying a range of Solid State and traditional battery based systems, they now require additional UPS Engineer to join their Team.
The Role
The UPS Engineer will be required to visit existing customer’s sites to perform routine Inspection and Service of equipment. The majority of the plant is Solid State and Battery based, designed to supply power for a short period of time. Some plants will have Generator backup as well, however the Deisel Generators are dealt with by a separate team of Engineers.
As part of the service, the UPS Engineer will be required to perform health checks on the system to ensure that cells are holding the required charge, check all software and electrical systems, update any software or security patches, and replace any worn or wearing parts or components.
The role is predominantly covering the London and the South East, however there will be need on occasion to travel up to the Midlands depending on Engineer availability in the area.
Nights away are fairly infrequent as most jobs typically can be done in a day, and overnights will only be required for roles further away from home as and when required.
The Candidate
* Need to be based in the Midlands, East of England or South of England
* Happy to travel UK wide and stay away when required
* Must a recognised Electrical Qualification
* Previous experience working on UPS systems
The business are also keen to speak to candidates who are leaving or who have recently left the Armed Forces with relevant transferable skills and experince. Full training will be provided on their systems
