An exciting opportiny has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our clients' talented team based at their head office in Lincoln. Our client is a privately owned business based in Lincoln with a reputation for delivering quality Civil Engineering projects within Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas undertaking a range of interesting and diverse projects. They have been successful in securing numerous projects and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. The sucessful candidate will ideally have previous experience in civil engineering, namely Roads & Sewers. You will be responsibe for delivering a wide range of projects across various sectors. Sechemes are varied both in size and complexity but typically consist of roads, sewers and groundworks on housing developments. Duties and Responsibilities: Attend Pre Start Meeting with client (before handover meeting). Attend Handover meetings and provide clients with start up list. Undertake non bulk materials (traffic management) take off. Liaise with the buyer for schedule and delivery dates. Mark up drawings as required (including tender drawings). Plan letter drops if required. Arrange suitable gang to cover off all aspects of project scope and details and ensure they are full trained to undertake the contract. Liaise with QS, CA & Technical Manager to ensure RAMS are received and approved well in advance of sub-contractors attending site. Conduct regular site visits to review Health & Safety, review workmanship, ensure correct materials have been ordered and received. Review the quality of employees and sub contractors. Ensure the right materials are ordered at the right price at the right time. Liaise with site foremen on all scheduled eliveries and arrange lifting equipment as required. Book transport and specialist plant with the transport department. Act as key contact for customer liaison. At completion of works, sign off inspection with client / customer. Liaise with and send sign-off sheet to the CA for site close down. Book and be on site for sewer inspection testing and then obtain certification. Attend close down meetings. Person Requirements Previous experience of managing civiol engineering and building contracts. Experience in the supervision of multiple projects including civils and earthworks. Experience in all aspects of project controls and planning. Knowledge of NEC4 contracts or similar. Experience of building stroong relationships with clients, employees, contract partners, Local Councils and Authorities. Demonstrate excellent organisational and communications skills. Full UK Driving licence. Package Monday to Friday 7.00am to 5.00pm (occasional Saturday) 26 days annual leave plus Bank Holliday Company Vehicle or car allowance.
