We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of BTEC Creative Digital Media for 12 periods per week.
Media is taught in a dedicated classroom equipped with a suite of iMacs and filming equipment, fostering both theoretical understanding and practical filming skills. Our small classes ensure personalised attention, allowing us to closely mentor each student in their journey. Results have been strong over the past two years.
In addition, to academic lessons, our department actively contributes to various marketing and student-led projects. This hands-on involvement provides students with the opportunity to enhance their project management and organisational skills, preparing them for the demands of the media industry.
Teaching at LWC requires that members of the academic staff be willing to contribute fully to the life of the College. This includes tutoring, co-curricular involvement, boarding house duties, cover duties and attending parents’ evenings for the year groups taught. Liaison with parents is included in the sphere of the teacher’s responsibilities.
Should you wish to discuss the role in strict confidence, please feel free to contact the Assistant Deputy Head (Staff), Jeni Loud, by email: loudj@lordwandsworth.org
