Interim Complex Repairs Delivery Manager Ealing 8193-1
Key Requirements:
1. Expertise in construction and maintenance within a social housing environment, including Housing Disrepair protocols.
2. Strong understanding of CDM regulations and experience with NHF Schedule of Rates.
3. Proven accountability for managing health and safety at a senior level.
4. Demonstrable track record of operational management, motivation, and team engagement.
5. Proven ability to manage budgets, analyse trends, and forecast, ensuring value for money and demonstrating commercial acumen.
6. Experience in delivering change management processes.
7. Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or professionally qualified in construction management or a related discipline and/or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience.
The Complex Repairs Delivery Manager will lead a high-profile operation responsible for delivering resolution to complex repairs, disrepair cases and those where damp and mould may be an issue, ensuring high performance standards and delivery of the council’s aids and adaptations programmes enabling residents to stay in their homes wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver dynamic leadership and management to the Complex Repairs Delivery function, ensuring the vision and values of the organisation and directorate are upheld.
2. Responsible for the operational delivery of all legal disrepair and complex repair works, including effective resource management to deliver excellent services while optimising performance, cost, and risk.
3. Responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations, embedding safe working practices in daily operations.
4. Manage all aspects of the diagnostics service, ensuring reports of damp and mould are addressed in line with policy and procedure, and remedial works are tracked, appointed, coordinated, and completed within set timescales.
5. Promote the customer’s voice as the golden thread in all decisions and actions related to the complex repairs experience.
6. Develop and implement service improvement plans in collaboration with other stakeholders in the council to achieve operational excellence.
7. Foster strong relationships with internal and external legal advisers, contractors, and other stakeholders to minimise legal claims and optimise the delivery of repairs.
