We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in an engineering setting to be employed immediately on a permanent basis for an established company in Sandwich.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience using MRP systems, minimising project risks and who can manage a team of professionals in a friendly environment.
The key responsibilities include:
* Prepare cost and price build-up analysis using data in the MRP and cost models.
* Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure aspects of projects are compatible.
* Liaise with operations for lead time estimations and production updates.
* Coordinate internal business resources and third parties for execution of projects.
* Lead and direct the work of other project team members to ensure success.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.
* Coordinate resource and availability allocation.
* Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
* Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using verifications.
* Measure performance using project management tools and techniques.
* Report and escalate to management as needed.
* Manage the relationship with clients and relevant stakeholders.
* Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
* Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
* Delegate appropriate project tasks effectively based on the team's SKE levels.
* Track project performance to analyse success with short and long-term goals.
* Meet budgetary objectives and adjust constraints based on financial analysis.
* Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients/team members.
* Use and continually develop leadership and management skills.
* S&M general admin to cover other team members when necessary.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Relevant experience in Engineering discipline (mechanical/electro-optics).
* Proven track record in project management within Engineering.
* Experience with project management software tools.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) / Prince 2 certification is desirable.
* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Solid organisational skills including attention to detail.
