Project Manager – Control Room Experience Location: Birmingham (4 days on-site, 1 day remote) Start Date: ASAP Initial End Date: 31 March 2025 Hours per Week: 40 Negotiable: Rate Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will report to the Programme Lead (Lead Delivery Manager) and will be responsible for owning specific work streams within a critical programme of work. The Programme Lead will manage your workload and performance closely. You will collaborate with technical advisers, internal stakeholders, and the wider programme team to deliver project outcomes, which may include stability work streams and version upgrade projects. Key Responsibilities: Manage and upgrade control room services/software and operational technology. Oversee complex projects within broader programmes. Engage in market activities and tendering processes. Ensure compliance with public sector project governance and reporting standards. Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in Control Room or Operational Technology, ideally within the Police Force or Ambulance Service. Strong management skills in handling upgrades and project governance. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in a public sector environment.
