The Vacancy Hours: 37.5 hours per week Location: Peace Hospice, Watford but will also be required to work from Grove House St Albans and Rennie House, Tring Salary: £24,071 per annum Closing date: 3 February 2025 at midday Interview date: 14 February 2025 The purpose of this role is to work as a member of the multi-professional team to provide holistic care to adult patients, to their carers and families. In addition, you will be supporting the Rehabilitation team in providing clinical, administrative and health & wellbeing support to patients, carers and families, including running groups (with support) and in the inpatient unit. You will therefore need to demonstrate your abilities in the following areas: NVQ qualified to level 3 or equivalent or level 4 or rehab/physiotherapy/ occupational therapy Assistant qualification/ experience. Experience of working in a related care setting. Experience of working as either a health care assistant, physiotherapy assistant, occupational therapy assistant, running exercise groups. Understanding of palliative care and Hospice philosophy. A good understanding of technology with a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages ie Word, Excel and Outlook. Able to build good working relationships. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Good administrative and record keeping skills and able to work with good attention to detail. Strong organisational skills. Sensitivity and understanding to the needs of the volunteers and customers, many of whom may have experienced Rennie Grove Peace services or be bereaved themselves.
