Job Title: Art and Textiles Teacher Location: Farnborough, Hampshire Position Type: Full time, Temp-Perm contract Salary: £31,650- £49,084 Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art and textiles lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of SEN students. Develop and implement creative projects that encourage self-expression, creativity, and skill development. Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being. Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other staff members. Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and therapists to create comprehensive and individualized education plans. Organize and participate in school events, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities related to art and textiles. Maintain a safe and orderly classroom, ensuring all materials and equipment are used responsibly. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Textiles, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Experience working with SEN students, preferably in an educational setting. Strong knowledge of various art and textiles techniques and materials. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
