We are looking for a motivated, driven, and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our vibrant team in Horsforth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for early years education and leadership to support our Nursery Manager and lead a dedicated team in delivering outstanding care and education to our children.
About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining a high standard of care and education while adhering to regulatory and safeguarding guidelines. You'll be a hands-on leader, supporting staff, fostering positive relationships with parents, and ensuring the nursery meets all operational, educational, and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Nursery Manager in the management and delivery of the nursery's operational and educational objectives.
2. Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
3. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of early years practitioners.
4. Ensure that the nursery meets all safeguarding and regulatory standards.
5. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a nurturing, welcoming environment.
6. Take responsibility for managing staffing, budgets, and resource allocation where necessary.
7. Assist with planning and implementing effective educational programs for the children.
8. Be proactive in identifying areas for development and driving improvements across the nursery.
About You:
We are looking for a driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take on challenges with ease. To be successful in this role, you should have:
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a management position within a nursery or similar childcare setting.
2. Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
3. A solid understanding of the early years framework and current childcare regulations.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
5. A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure and problem-solve effectively.
6. A passion for delivering the highest quality of care and education.
