We are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to provide tailored support for a pupil with specific learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and success of a young learner, working closely with the child, teaching staff, and specialists.
Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, ensuring they can fully engage with their learning and social development.
* Collaborate with teachers to deliver tailored interventions based on the child’s individual education plan (IEP).
* Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the pupil feels included and supported.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
* Encourage independence while being sensitive to the pupil’s needs.
Qualifications:
We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive individual who:
* Has experience supporting children with SEN (experience with specific needs such as ASD, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties is desirable).
* Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Is patient, empathetic, and committed to promoting inclusive education.
* Has relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
* Is adaptable and can work collaboratively as part of a team.
