Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Support Worker to work at one of our Independent Hospitals in Newark-On-Trent.
Shifts: Monday to Sunday
Service Information
* This hospital is a purpose-built facility providing services across low secure, rehabilitation, and acute inpatient settings for women with mental health and personality disorder diagnoses.
* The combination of low secure wards and a rehabilitation ward area provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation prior to discharge. On-site facilities include large and attractive en-suite bedrooms, disabled facilities, secure courtyard and garden, patient café, gym, salon, and activity hall.
* As a support worker, you will look after the well-being of people in their daily lives. You will help patients living with different physical disabilities and mental health needs to live more independently and support them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support.
Person Specification
The successful applicant must have:
* GCSEs are preferred, particularly in subjects such as Maths, English, or Health and Social Care.
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience working within Acute Mental Health.
* Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills.
* Emotional maturity, compassion, and empathy.
* Willingness to work with people with potentially challenging behaviour.
* Understanding of people with mental health issues.
* Ability to work flexibly and commit to the working hours mentioned above.
* It would be beneficial if the applicant is a driver due to the location and shift start times, but there is local/public transport nearby.
