Job Title: Adult Social Worker – Front Door Team – Barnet Location: Barnet Rate: £33 per hour Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting qualified, skilled, and committed Social Workers with experience in adult social care to work in Social Care Direct, which is our Front Door Team. What will your responsibilities be? You will take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels. You will manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs. Social Care Direct is the first point of contact for all initial enquiries about social care. You will put the person at the heart of the assessment and involve their families, friends, and communities around them to help improve their lives and help them meet their goals. Additionally, you will provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager. Actively participating in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews, will be part of your role. You will follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing. Contributing to information management processes and supporting social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained, will also be expected. You need to understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with adults, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches. You should also have a full UK driving licence. Additionally, you should have at least 4 years’ experience working in a strength-based way with individuals, a preference for working in teams that offer short-term intervention and work at a fast pace, and be IT literate with experience using Mosaic.
