The Experience Required:
1. At least 5 years of relevant procurement or buying experience
2. Experience of food and ingredients procurement
3. Strong analytical and numerical skills
4. Commercially savvy and data driven, but also able to make a human connection with internal teams and suppliers
5. Confident and articulate negotiator with proven results
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Determination to achieve set goals
8. Able to work effectively as part of a team and build relationships at all levels
9. Able to work with little or no supervision and make own decisions methodically
10. Able to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines
11. Care deeply about sustainability and building it into every aspect of procurement
The Role/Responsibilities:
1. Category management across various food and non-food categories
2. Working with relevant internal and external stakeholders to help achieve overall budget targets through successful negotiations, product and supplier reviews, and new product sourcing.
3. Liaising with relevant teams to ensure ingredients and products meet high standards and are commercially viable.
4. Sourcing products that align with the company values, which include sustainability and kindness and welfare.
