We have an excellent opportunity for a Field Service / Sales Engineer with experience in logical fault finding as well as fixing electromechanical devices. Experience in sales would be desirable to join this rapidly growing robotic automation company who are a leading supplier, installer and support provider of robotic ground care equipment. Please note this is a field-based role covering Scotland.
Due to rapid company growth, there is an exciting opportunity to open a branch office in Scotland and so we are now looking for a Field Service Engineer to cover a joint sales and engineer role with support from head office. However, applications from experienced Field Sales Executives will also be considered.
About the company
Our client supplies, installs and supports robotic ground care equipment to sports clubs and sport facilities such as football, rugby, cricket and golf. This is a capital equipment field service engineer and sales role, so the right candidates it would be beneficial (but not essential) to have experience in the line of capital equipment sales / leasing.
About the role and responsibilities
As a Field Service / Sales Engineer, you will develop and nurture your own contacts as well as handle company generated enquires. This is a virtually untouched and rapidly expanding market in robotics and is a great opportunity for a self-motivated and driven individual to write their own pay cheque and your responsibilities will include:
1. Attending to client needs in line with support contract guarantees
2. Bring established competencies to the role and undertake service delivery, including installation and commission of company technologies
3. Software configuration and set up
4. Preventative and remedial maintenance of systems
5. Attend sites for emergency faults and preventative maintenance
6. Diagnose root cause analysis of equipment faults
7. Produce periodic reports as directed
8. Maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and clients alike
About you
To be successful for the role of Field Service / Sales Engineer you will need the following qualifications and experience:
9. Knowledge of how to use a multimeter is highly advantageous
10. Possess an unrestricted Driver's License
11. Minimum 5 years' experience as a service engineer
12. Excellent attention to detail
13. Have previous experience in writing maintenance and service reports
14. Excellent trouble-shooting skills
15. Flexible, organised and capable of working with minimal direction
16. Good communication skills
17. Team player
About the Rewards
For the position of Field Service / Sales Engineer, you will work Monday to Friday, and you will receive:
18. A competitive salary of £25,000 to £35,000 per annum
19. Commission pay and performance bonus of up to £100,000 OTE
