We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join a logistics team within a busy manufacturing company near Carlisle. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating and managing the transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services in/out of their site.
No experience within transport admin required; training is provided.
A candidate who demonstrates good administration & communication skills is what we need!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Good customer service.
2. Coordinate and schedule transportation activities.
3. Communicate with drivers, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth distribution and delivery operations.
4. Prepare and process transportation documentation, such as orders, itineraries and invoices.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of transportation policies and procedures for the site.
6. Analyse transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
7. Handle customer enquiries and resolve delivery-related issues promptly and effectively.
8. Support the logistics team with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
9. Proven experience in an administration role.
10. Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
12. Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
13. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hours and Pay:
15. Monday - Friday
16. 40 hours per week
17. From £23,795 per annum
