Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is looking for a Head of Commercial to join us as part of our partnership with @one Alliance.
About The Role
As Head of Commercial, you’ll be at the heart of driving the commercial success of a designated Business Unit looking after a portfolio of projects of between £600m - £750m over a five-year period. Reporting to the Delivery or Commercial Director, you’ll manage all aspects of the commercial function, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while fostering collaboration, innovation, and value-driven outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute commercial strategies that enhance performance and align with our outperformance targets.
2. Performance Management: Oversee the commercial performance of the Business Unit, ensuring effective cost assurance, KPI reporting, and governance.
3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless integration across the supply chain.
4. Procurement & Supply Chain Management: Drive procurement innovation and ensure supply chain performance aligns with programme goals.
5. Team Leadership & Development: Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, care, and continuous improvement.
6. Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Champion a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing across the team and supply chain.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring:
1. A degree-level education, with significant experience in a senior leadership role.
2. Proven expertise in project and programme delivery within construction or utilities.
3. A strong commercial acumen with experience in contract management, procurement, and estimating.
4. Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
5. A track record of leading successful teams and delivering business objectives at a strategic level.
6. The ability to drive innovation, improve processes, and deliver exceptional results.
