Colchester Medical Practice, an established, successful practice and primary care network, is looking to appoint a part-time permanent clinical coder and QOF administrator.
The successful applicant will join our experienced and expanding coding/QOF team based at Castle Gardens Medical Centre in Colchester (we cannot offer home working).
We require you to work 25 hours a week, working Monday to Friday, but your hours are flexible. (i.e. start time is flexible, so this may suit someone looking for school hours).
Main duties of the job
* Coding clinical documents accurately within a 48 hour timescale.
* Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following the practice protocol.
* Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions following the practice protocol.
* Quality outcomes framework (QOF) - you will be responsible for allocated QOF clinical indicators to achieve targets for the practice.

Experience
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Reliable team player.
* Work well under pressure.
* Excellent problem solver.
* Experience of working as a receptionist in a GP surgery is an advantage but training will be given.
