Post Production Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection Technician Required in Dartford, Kent
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Post Production Pre-Delivery Vehicle Inspection Technician to join our client's industry-leading Automotive production team in Dartford. This role is part of our client's post-production delivery department, where you’ll be involved in tasks critical to ensuring the quality and safety of vehicles before they reach customers.
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on completed vehicles, following detailed checklists. This includes performing quality assessments and identifying potential issues beyond standard checks, using your keen eye for detail and proactive approach.
Given the safety-critical nature of this role, a methodical and focused mindset is essential. You will also support other functions within the Post Production department as needed. This role is a stepping stone in your career with our client's business.
This position offers 40 hours per week with flexible hours from Monday to Thursday (6am – 3pm or 7am – 4pm) and an early finish on Friday (6am – 12pm or 7am – 1pm). Our client provides flexibility to accommodate your needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Follow PDI procedures and checklists accurately.
2. Ensure vehicles meet specifications and quality standards.
3. Compile reports and provide feedback to the assembly team.
4. Perform fault finding and diagnostics (electrical and mechanical).
5. Support other Post Production functions as required.
6. Meet inspection times and targets.
7. Ensure vehicle compliance with standards.
8. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and tools.
9. Adhere to health and safety procedures.
10. Uphold high standards of workmanship.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Exceptional attention to detail.
2. Ability to follow established processes accurately.
3. Skilled in identifying issues and quality concerns.
4. Proficient with basic Windows systems.
5. Minimum of 5 years' mechanical or assembly experience.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Adaptability to change and modernization.
8. Full UK driver’s license required.
Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package, with initial annual leave of 22 days, increasing to 27 days.
