Trainee Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Care Home
Location: West London – Ealing W13
Salary: £30,583 rising to £31,401 after successful completion of mandatory training
Specific Hours: 40 hours per week shift work, including weekends and bank holidays
Key aspect of the role:
• To assist the manager in safeguarding and ensuring every child and young person receives high quality care as measured by
Ofsted in the social care common inspection framework.
• To assist the manager in the management of the home, including the staff, external relationships, the budget, the resources and
fabric of the building
Essential Requirements needed to be considered for interview:
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent; and a commitment to complete Level 5 diploma in Leadership and
Management in residential care within 2 years of starting.
• Flexibility to undertake shift work including weekends, bank holidays and with notice, occasional sleep-ins.
• Two years’ recent experience of working with children/young people who are at risk in a residential or community based setting.
• Candidate’s age must be over 21 and they must hold current Right to Work in the UK ( at least for 1 year).

Inteview Procedure:
• Interviews will be held virtually or in person (decision of the hiring manager) in our Head Office located in
Putney, SW London
• Interviews take approx. 2 hours as there is a written task that applicants must complete before meeting the hiring manager for
the interview;
• Successful candidates will be asked to attend an observation visit in a relevant home which is a part of our interviewing
process;
• Clearing candidates for employment takes approximately 4-6 weeks ( this is due to DBS, health and referencing checks we
undertake); please note that only fully cleared applicants can commence work for us
