The Parts Advisor is responsible for smooth and efficient running front and rear parts counters and controlling stock movements. Working hours: Monday to Friday alternating by week between 8:00-17:00 and 9:00-18:00 and alternate Saturdays 8:00-12:00.
What does the role involve?
* Run front and back Service Counters
* Pick and deliver correct parts to customers and workshop on time
* Complete relevant documentation including invoices etc.
* Build and develop customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service
* Work together with the workshop and other departments
* Return warranty and service exchange units regularly
* Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any issues
* Inventory management
* Department housekeeping
* Parts ordering
* Communicate with customers and suppliers
* Promote parts to customers to increase sales
* Inform customers of any promotions that are running to help increase sales
* Control VOR/freight charge costs
* Chase supplier credits
* Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, within a main dealer
* Computer literacy and a high attention to detail
* Knowledge of Scania parts and systems
* Current driving licence
* Ability to work within a team
* Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines, with excellent organisational skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Solution-driven approach
* Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
* Ability to work under pressure and have a solution-driven approach
* Fork-lift truck licence
