Quilter Cheviot has over 50% of its Assets under Management invested in third-party funds across equities, fixed income and alternatives asset classes. These holdings are an important element of our overall approach to responsible investment and how we identify and manage ESG factor risks and opportunities.
The remit of the role is focused on engagement with, and the evaluation (from a responsible investment perspective) of the third-party managers that we invest in and will involve working alongside our fund research team. The key elements include:
1. Leading ESG related engagements, both of a thematic and a one-off nature with the funds we invest in. The engagements will focus on:
* The firmwide approach to responsible investment
* Manager and strategy approach to responsible investment
* Engagement on ESG risk and exposure
* The firmwide approach to net zero
* Continuing our ongoing engagement with investment trusts which is focused on board composition, board effectiveness and responsible investment disclosures.
* Working with the wider team to enhance our proprietary fund dashboards which drive the responsible investment categorisation of our holdings.
* Contributing to the delivery of our investment climate action plan.
* Written reports for external audiences and presentations to our colleagues.
1. You will be passionate about responsible investment and climate transition and be able to engage with different audiences. You can take ownership and responsibility whilst working collaboratively with colleagues. Given the role includes leading engagements, and ultimately framing how we approach the third-party managers we invest in, you will have previous experience to evidence your ability to deliver.
About You
* You will have previous experience engaging with third-party funds or analysing these from a responsible investment perspective.
* We’re looking for someone with an effective communication style (both written and verbal), who is solution-oriented and has a flexible approach to helping others deliver on team tasks.
* You will also have strong organisational skills, good attention to detail and proactively collaborate with others.
