Waste Operative – Core Production
Full time: 2 shift working
Location: Raynesway Derby
As a Waste Operative, you’ll play a key role in contributing to the Continuous at Sea Deterrent of the Royal Naval Submarine Fleet in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ever-growing team to support Core Production.

What you will be doing
Ensuring rigorous compliance with all nuclear and conventional safety regulations:
* Liaise with peers and technical staff at all levels.
* Deliver a defined set of tasks, following procedures to apply established methods in different situations to deliver against a plan.
* Work in an integrated team to achieve targets and effectively resolve quality issues.

* Proficient knowledge and understanding of waste management within a nuclear site.
* Working knowledge of Waste and Environmental Legislation.
* Strong health and safety background, both conventional and nuclear.
* Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on waste matters and provide day-to-day waste management support to production areas to ensure continued compliance.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently have this in place. Due to the nature of the work and the protection of certain assets, you must hold UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
