We are looking for confident and skilled professionals to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, to understand their needs and put residents at the heart of everything we do, embracing our ‘One Council’ approach and help to deliver our aspiration that Wulfrunians live longer and healthier lives.
The Council recognises the importance of building a highly skilled procurement team, who are recognised as senior professionals. Delivering change can take time so it is important that we take our stakeholders along that journey and support them with their aspirations. We need procurement team members who can simplify procurement and can give support and guidance to stakeholders to help them achieve successful outcomes.
An opportunity has arisen for a number of Procurement Professionals to join the team as Procurement Managers for the following categories:
1. Corporate/Facilities/Waste/Fleet/ICT x 1
2. Health & Social Care x 2 (preferably with knowledge of Light Touch procurement and the Provider Selection Regime)
3. 1 x role for a Construction Procurement Manager, preferably with knowledge and experience of JCT and NEC contracts.
The roles will require individuals with in-depth knowledge of procurement best practice who can make immediate impact in their role.
To be successful you will need to:
1. Have knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015
2. Have knowledge of Procurement Act 2023
3. Be able to develop options for effective decision making
4. Be able to problem solve
5. Ensure compliance with all processes and update systems accordingly
6. Influence stakeholders at all levels
7. Provide a quality service focused on supporting stakeholders
8. Be able to deliver in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple projects.
Candidate Experience:
1. Experience of leading on complex tender processes, including working with stakeholders, cross functional teams, legal services and partner organisations.
2. Supporting development of category strategies.
3. Supporting stakeholders to ensure they are compliant with Public Contract Regulations 2015, Procurement Act 2023 and internal policies.
