Role Overview
As a Group Travel Manager, you will have a diverse and varied role. Both independently and as part of a team, you will support the successful delivery of group and event travel across our key clients. This role is hands-on and, given TM G’s ambition for growth and scale, includes a wide variety of opportunities for individual growth and development.
This role, in a fast paced environment, will require you to manage flight bookings, room blocks, ground transportation, project proposals and budgets. You will be extremely solution driven and have the ability to develop relationships with clients while understanding their unique requirements to deliver a first-class service.
Skills & Knowledge
1. Ideally a minimum of 3 years travel industry experience, preferably within Group/Event Travel.
2. Experience selling/booking flights, hotels, ground transportation whilst providing excellent customer service.
3. Preferred experience processing and managing large group bookings – including group flights, hotels and ground transportation.
4. Strong industry knowledge with an understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing and hotel reservations.
5. Proven knowledge of a GDS is a must (Ideally Galileo/Smartpoint).
6. Knowledge and understanding of project budgeting and budget management.
7. Experience using event registration platforms is preferred.
8. Knowledge of travel mid/back-office systems (ideally Protas/Procon but not essential).
9. Strong client account management.
10. Knowledge of using an Online Booking Tool is a bonus, but not essential.
11. Negotiating fares and supplier contracts.

6. Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in other languages is a bonus.
