Our Art department is well-loved by our young people and we're proud of the talent being nurtured in it. We're looking for a talented and inspiring teacher of Art to work within our Expressive Arts faculty. You'll be part of an established yet forward-thinking faculty, who pride themselves on helping our young people achieve their best.
Musselburgh Grammar School is a vibrant and ambitious secondary, serving the town of Musselburgh and the nearby village of Whitecraig. The Musselburgh community is strong and lively, and the Grammar sits proudly at the heart of it. Musselburgh is the largest town in East Lothian, has easy access to the City Bypass and is only 5 miles east of Edinburgh city centre with excellent bus and train links.
We have approximately 870 pupils and over 85 staff in total. Our school motto is ‘Striving for Excellence – Caring for All' and we are ambitious for all of our young people.
Our pupil centred approach and ambition for young people is also reflected in our school values of Honesty, Determination and Respect. Continuing to improve attainment and achievement is our key objective along with ensuring that our young people develop all the skills required for a positive and successful life after school, and we continue to improve our exam results year on year. We believe in providing an inspiring, relevant and innovative education for our young people which best prepares them for their destination of choice post-school.
We've specified Wednesday as the non-working day, but this could be negotiated for the right candidate.
