Accounts Assistant Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up-to £27,000 DOE Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person Job Overview Hey there We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our client's team. You'll be a key player in helping our Financial Controller with various financial tasks and making sure our records are spot-on. If you're good with Xero and know your way around accounts processes, we want to hear from you What You'll Do: Handle accounts payable, making sure purchase orders and invoices are processed on time. Enter accurate info into Xero. Reconcile bank statements on Xero and ensure all transactions are correctly receipted. Work with suppliers and internal teams to sort out any discrepancies and answer accounts-related questions. Check weekly timesheets against van trackers and sign-in sheets to ensure sub-contractors get paid accurately. Book accommodation when needed. Provide admin support to the team as needed. What We're Looking For: Experience as an accounts assistant or in a similar role is a plus. Familiarity with Xero accounting software. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial principles. Great attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
