About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the classroom, working alongside teachers to provide additional support to students. You will assist with learning activities, work with small groups or individual pupils, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support teachers in delivering well-structured and engaging lessons.
2. Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
3. Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by adapting learning activities to their needs.
4. Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
5. Prepare learning materials and set up classroom resources.
6. Encourage pupils' confidence and independence in their learning.
7. Supervise children during break times, trips, and school activities.
8. Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is beneficial.
2. A patient, enthusiastic, and supportive approach to working with young learners.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
4. Adaptability and a proactive attitude to assist with various classroom tasks.
5. A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential.
6. An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
