Protocol Education are currently working with an OUTSTANDING schools based in Enfield.
The Headmaster of this lovely 3 form entry primary school is currently looking for a passionate and experienced KS2 teacher to join their team of teachers.
Due to the current Year 6 Teacher who has to leave this role due to maternity leave. They are looking for someone with experience to come in and be able to hit the ground running to help prepare students for their STATS this year.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The post holder is required to carry out under the reasonable direction of the Head of School the professional duties of a teacher which are set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document;
2. The post holder must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to the Trust’s Equal Opportunities Policy;
3. Take an active part in extra-curricular provision
Teaching and Learning:
4. Provide clear planning for lessons and for sequences of lessons, which maintain pace, motivation and challenge;
5. Make effective use of assessment information on pupils’ attainment and progress and in planning future lessons;
6. Ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals, establishing high expectations of behaviour and attainment, so that teaching objectives are met;
7. Monitor and intervene when teaching to ensure sound learning and discipline and maintain a safe environment in which pupils feel confident;
8. Be familiar with the Code of Practice and identification, assessment and support of pupils with special educational needs;
9. Evaluate your own teaching critically to improve effectiveness.
PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
10. Have knowledge of and keep up-to-date with the National Curriculum and the agreed syllabus for Religious Education;
11. Be aware of and promote SMSC and British values as part of the curriculum and ethos of the school;
12. Understand how pupils’ learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development;
13. Select and make good use of ICT skills of classroom and management support;
14. Be familiar with the Trust’s current systems and structures as outlined in policy documents, including Health and Safety and Child Protection Policies;
15. Understand and know how national and local comparative and school data including National Curriculum test data can be used to set clear targets for pupils’ achievement;
16. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with professional colleagues and parents;
17. Participate in the Performance Management Cycle;
18. Participate as required in meetings with professional colleagues and parents in respect of duties and responsibilities of the post;
19. Take responsibility for your own professional development;
20. Be aware and mindful of all aspects of health and safety in relations to your duties;
21. Ensure that all Trust policies are properly implemented.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
