About the role:
They are seeking a Trade Counter and Warehouse Assistant who can support their warehouse operations and trade counter interactions. You will also assist the drivers with deliveries where needed, so will need to exemplify the client's commitment to outstanding customer service and reliable logistics.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Serve customers face-to-face at the trade counter as well as providing BUSE industrial gases at the counter for trade accounts.
2. Route planning for multi-drop delivery runs within a 50-mile radius.
3. Warehouse management maximising storage space and check in goods from suppliers, including off-hired equipment.
4. Oversee daily operations in picking, packing, and checking orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
5. Utilise our courier service for the timely dispatch of products.
6. Work closely with internal and external sales teams to meet customer deadlines.
7. Provide occasional emergency cover for drivers as needed.
About You:
For this Trade Counter and Warehouse Assistant role, you will ideally have prior experience in a Trade Counter Sales, Warehouse operations, and logistic planning role, ideally using Maxoptra or similar tool. However, the client would be interested in speaking to motivated candidates who are looking for their first career step, with prospects.
An interest in welding and engineering is advantageous but not essential. However, it is essential that you have excellent interpersonal and IT skills to engage effectively with customers, as well as a strong drive to achieve high customer service standards. This is a varied role, so you need to be proactive, flexible, with a can-do attitude and the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Advantageous if you hold a driving licence and can cover the deliveries if needed, but not essential.
