An exciting opportunity has arisen within Payroll Services at Lancashire County Council. The service provides payroll to over 45,000 employees for a diverse range of clients which include over 500 schools, district councils, academies and multi academy trust clients.
The role of the Payroll Officer is to support the efficient administration of a quality, accurate and timely payroll, and pensions function in accordance with statutory, legislative, and contractual obligations. You will be part of a supportive team including a team leader and two senior colleagues, who provide a professional payroll service, working to monthly deadlines, and achieving monthly performance targets.
Whilst experience of working within payroll services is not essential, you do need:
* Strong communications skills.
* Good analytical skills.
* Experience of working within a team.
* Experience of working to deadlines.
