The Role
As the Head of Regulatory Planning, you will be responsible for securing approvals for planning applications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving efficient, cost-effective planning processes. You will collaborate with internal project teams, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage planning and consent processes for infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with UK planning regulations (e.g., Town and Country Planning Act, NPPF ).
Engage with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and community stakeholders to secure approvals.
Monitor environmental impact assessments and sustainability compliance.
Prepare and present detailed reports, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
Track planning applications and market trends that impact operations.
Support cost efficiencies, audit reporting, and compliance best practices.
Provide strategic leadership to align planning with business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Skills & Experience: Proven track record in navigating complex planning applications and securing approvals.
Strong knowledge of UK planning policies, NPPF, and environmental regulations .
Experience in industrial and brownfield site development.
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills .
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex regulatory documents.
Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
