What you'll be doing:
* Applies knowledge, skills and training to deliver the People Data governance Framework, Standards, Policies and Practices required to allow the Enterprise to meet its strategic and tactical goals.
* Drives/supports the company to improve the accuracy of data across the business.
* Drives/supports activities to improve the use of data to drive business insight and decision making.
* Drives/supports the business in the governance of all aspects of data.
* Provides guidance on accessibility, retrievability and protection of data, whilst supporting the transformation of information from one format/medium to another, where appropriate.
* Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability. Exercises substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. Uses substantial discretion in identifying and responding to complex issues and assignments as they relate to the deliverable/scope of work. Escalates when issues fall outside their framework of accountability.
* Interacts with and influences colleagues. May oversee others or make decisions which impact routine work assigned to individuals or stages of projects. Has working level contact with customers, suppliers and partners. Understands and collaborates on the analysis of user/customer needs and represents this in their work.
Your skills and experiences:
* Knowledge of assurance, legal compliance, cross function collaboration and project management.
* Experience in implementing business change, reporting and data collection & analytics.
* Understanding different data protections.
* Delivering workshops / chairing engagement meetings.

The IM&T Team:
As a Data Governance Associate you will be joining a new exciting cyber team which is part of the IM&T (Information Management and Technology) team, interacting with various stakeholders and team members based across the UK. You will report to the Senior Cyber Security Standards Specialist and be responsible for performing risk assessments, managing identified risks, and prioritising remediation activities to ensure compliance with Cyber Security Standards, in line with contract commitments.
