Global engineering business requires a Senior Contracts Officer. Applicants need contract management experience, including negotiating contracts with either customers or suppliers, in a B2B, manufacturing or engineering environment.\n\nThe Senior Contracts Officer will be responsible for managing a range of commercial contracts (supplier and customer), ensuring the business agrees to commercially advantageous agreements which also ensure compliance with industry/organisational requirements and mitigate risk.\n\nSpecific duties of the Senior Contracts Officer include:\n\nReview customer/supplier contracts and assess contractual and commercial risk\nDraft, review and negotiate T&Cs of long term agreements\nAct as commercial contracts SME to colleagues in; Bids, Procurement, Sales etc.\nAdminister contracts - assess performance against T&Cs and compliance\nDay-to-day contract management and contract change activities\nIn life and post-signature activities - contract extensions, claims, disputes etc.\nEscalate complex issues/conflicts to colleagues in the legal department\nWork with Legal and Commercial colleagues to improve contract management; tools, systems and processes \n\nSenior Contracts Officer applicants should meet the following criteria:\n\nExperience of managing contracts, in a contract management, commercial or procurement role\nThe ability to negotiate contracts, mitigate risks, respond/review contracts and draft responses\nExcellent communication and relationship skills - internal stakeholders, external supplier and customers\nLaw or Business degrees, IACCM, MCIPS, LPC, GDL qualifications would be advantageous but not essential\nComfortable working on site 4 days per week and 1 day remote
