About the role:
We have a great opportunity for someone to join the Service Delivery team in Birmingham as a Junior Support Analyst.
Within this role, you will be required to provide 1st and 2nd line technical and application support to business users across all functional areas of the business.
Your primary responsibility will be to respond to user queries and help requests, gather information with regard to incidents or issues and try to resolve as quickly as possible.
You will also be responsible for:
1. Maintaining detailed records of user issues with software and hardware to enhance the BIS knowledge base, which allows knowledge to be disseminated across the department.
2. Deployment of new equipment and solutions to business users.
3. Responding to other operational requests (including office moves) as requested by the Service Delivery Manager
4. Learning to provide in depth operating knowledge in at least one of the Gowling WLG core technology platform areas:
5. Desktop Applications
6. Document Production
7. Information / Network Security
8. Infrastructure
9. Practice Management Systems (PMS) and Integration
10. Unified Communications
11. Web / online / mobile
12. Workflow and Automation
13. Collaborating with colleagues across the BIS department
About you:
We are looking for someone who has an A Level / BTEC or similar qualification or experience of working in an IT environment demonstrating the use a range of technologies, especially the Microsoft Technology stack.
You will present with an aptitude and demonstrable motivation to learn both via formal settings and via informal colleague mentoring. Within your experience, you will evidence demonstrating ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure including expertise in prioritising competing workloads, with the ability to work independently or part of a team.
To this role, you will need to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to business users in terms that they will understand.
