Job Title: Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential
Location: Waterlooville
Salary: £29,609 rising to £30,826 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Shifts: Days, 40 hours a week
Requirements
1. Previous experience working within a residential children's home environment
2. Related knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
3. A strong people manager with a hands-on approach
4. Full driving licence is essential
5. You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children, including working shifts and sleep-ins
About the Role
You will be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a Registered Manager. You will be responsible for the delivery of quality care services. Leading your team along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child, focused on obtaining the best outcomes.
You will act as a positive role model to colleagues and children to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth, and lasting change. You will be responsible for the supervision and mentoring of staff, organization of work patterns, facilitation of care-focused training, and accessing appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.
