The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge and network in the West Midlands. About the Role You will: Develop commercial strategies that drive growth and income through partnerships. Lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional partner service. Oversee a Top 500 clients programme to strengthen relationships with key regional employers. Collaborate with stakeholders to boost growth, protect jobs, and increase investment. Identify new business opportunities through market research and analysis. Key Responsibilities Commercial Partnerships: Create a cohesive commercial strategy across partnership offerings. Drive sales and income to achieve growth targets. Conduct market research to identify and develop new business. Ensure high partner engagement and consistent service quality. Collaborate with internal teams to maximize commercial impact. Monitor and report on performance, setting budgets and targets with the Finance Director. Strategic Relationship Management (SRM): Enhance the SRM function to provide effective service to regional employers. Lead the development of SRM systems and processes. Monitor KPIs to ensure service excellence. Provide insights to inform stakeholder decision-making. Manage the regional engagement programme and oversee relationships with the Department of Business & Trade (DBT). What We’re Looking For Essential Experience & Skills: Proven experience in a senior commercial or leadership role. Strong sales, marketing, and corporate partnership background, with a track record of securing major deals. Experience in business development, market research, and financial planning. Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong leadership with the ability to inspire and develop teams. Analytical, data-driven, and commercially astute. Desirable Experience & Skills: Knowledge of the West Midlands business and economic landscape. Experience in a public/private sector environment. Strong network within key industries.
