About this opportunity
Want to make a difference in an area of strategic importance and growth? – Now is your chance!
Mass Affluent is an attractive and currently under-served customer segment within the Group. We see a clear gap in the market for a digital-first, coordinated offering that combines a full set of banking, lending, insurance, and investment products. Additionally, we believe there is significant opportunity within our existing UK Private Banking business, which supports this key customer segment.
This role will work across the Group to deliver our commercial commitments and drive improvements for Mass Affluent and Private Banking customers. This is a great opportunity to be part of a forward-looking area, working collaboratively across multiple areas, including Product teams, finance, our Chief Customer Office, and other areas of Mass Affluent and Private Banking such as our Platform and Customer Propositions teams.
As a key member of the Mass Affluent Commercial Performance Leadership Team, you'll collaborate closely with the Head of Commercial Performance and integrate into the broader Mass Affluent Performance team. The Commercial Performance Team acts as the strategic guide for Mass Affluent, enhancing value for Lloyds Banking Group and fostering a commercially viable Mass Affluent business. The team is tasked with fulfilling both internal and external commitments, implementing the commercial plan, coordinating with Product teams, managing business performance reporting, leveraging data and analytics, seeing opportunities for improvement, driving growth, and conducting forecasting and planning.
In this role, you would:
* Input commercial expertise to design and prioritise improved journeys, propositions, and initiatives for Mass Affluent customers (including Insurance, Pensions & Investments).
* Build collaborative relationships with teams within Mass Affluent, including Platform and Propositions, and across the Group, particularly in Insurance, Pensions & Investments, Consumer Relationships and Consumer Lending.
* Partner and interlock with product teams to deliver our short-, medium- and long-term plans.
* Identify and drive forward opportunities to improve the customer experience and generate income for the group.
* Analyse product performance and Mass Affluent initiatives, identify risks and opportunities related to interlocked Mass Affluent targets and external market commitments.
* Tell the story of Mass Affluent, by simplifying the complex and sharing our plans in an engaging, accessible way.
Skills we're looking for
* Commercial Awareness: An understanding of how financial products work and drive income for the Group, preferably has recent experience of managing a P&L.
* Data: Able to use and interrogate data to find opportunities and quantify the benefits that these opportunities may drive for customers.
* Influence: Ability to challenge and influence to reach the right outcomes, managing stakeholders and partnering the business at all levels of the organisation to balance business and customer needs.
* Storytelling: Able to effectively communicate through storytelling and can simplify complex messages into succinct, high-quality narrative for Executive and Board level.
* Leadership: Has experience leading and motivating successful teams through a growth mindset.
Desirable
* Experience working in a commercial role within banking / financial services.
* Experience covering core banking / lending products such as Mortgages.
