Clinical Health Psychologist
Salary: Band 7/8a
Full Time 37.5 hours
Reading - Hybrid
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Clinical Health Psychologist – Long Term Conditions to join our team for 12 months, from December 2024. This is a full-time role either as a secondment or fixed term contract opportunity. Part time or job share requests will be considered.
You will manage a clinical caseload, supported by the Principal Psychologist, as part of the multidisciplinary team within the Pain Service at Royal Berkshire Hospital and the ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Service at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.
This exciting post is jointly commissioned by Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust and Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing advice and consultation on patients’ psychological care to other clinical members of the teams.
2. Delivering psychologically and physically based care and treatment.
3. Line management and clinical supervision to unqualified psychologists working within the team.

The “must haves” for this role:
1. Doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology.
2. Experience of specialist assessment, formulation, and treatment of adults in inpatient and/or community physical health settings.
3. Relevant experience of working with long term pain conditions.
4. A background of liaising with clinical and management colleagues around service improvement in a relevant area.
5. HCPC registration.
