We are recruiting for a District Nursing Team Leader to join our South West locality covering Abingdon, Wantage, Didcot and Faringdon.

Job responsibilities
Your skills and experiences:
This opportunity is available to nurses with proven leadership experience which does not have to be specifically based in the community. We welcome applications from experienced nurse leaders working in care homes, community hospitals, private hospitals, practice nursing or the acute sector.
How we will support you to develop:
In return we will support your career progression through a District Nursing career progression framework, including advanced clinical practice and leadership training in this area. You will also receive regular 1:1 support and development and annual appraisal, regular group clinical supervision with your peers, and a comprehensive internal training programme around clinical competencies.
Working patterns:
The service currently operates 7 days a week between the core hours of 0800-1830. Shift patterns available are 0800-1600, 1030-1630 or 0800-1830. Posts are available in various areas of Oxfordshire.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Evidence of Level 6 academic study OR Ability to demonstrate Level 6 academic writing.
* Registered General Nurse (adult).
* Current NMC registration
* Evidence of level 7 academic study
Job related Aptitude and Skills
* IT literate with intermediate keyboard skills.
* Experience of clinical leadership
* Demonstrates an understanding of clinical governance requirements
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
Experience
* Formal management and/or leadership experience within healthcare OR extensive clinical experience as a Registered Nurse within a District Nursing team and evidence of leadership responsibilities and experience.
* Previous experience of implementation of change
* Previous District Nursing experience
