Why Join KPMG as a Programme Assurance Manager?
Leadership & Management:
Management of multiple engagements at one time working for a dedicated Senior Manager and/or Director. Leadership of the junior team to coach and develop their skills and experience around IPA.
Engagement directly with senior stakeholders on the client side (for example Programme Directors and CFOs) and the ability to robustly and articulately describe risk and recommendations from IPA work. Collaboration with the senior team internally to secure resources, deliver, and sign off work.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
The role will contribute to risk management activities over large multimillion-pound engagements which will run over a multi-year period. IPA work is by nature high risk, and this role will therefore need to adhere to all KPMG risk processes.
What will you be doing?
1. Full understanding of an end-to-end business transformation ERP programme, understanding the challenges involved and the requirements of programme assurance.
2. Full understanding of all critical workstreams including PMO, business change, business architecture, testing, data, and cutover/transition, with the ability to lead focused reviews in these areas.
3. Strong awareness of the key risks a programme will generally experience throughout its life-cycle and critically what mitigations are required to course correct.
4. Ability to convert observations into risks with clear impact articulation and practical recommendations (not textbook ones).
5. Ability to manage multiple IPA pieces of work (stage gates, deep dives, etc.) and align to other client-side assurance activities (such as IA driven work). Ability to communicate with internal Q&A teams using the appropriate terminology around 1st/2nd/3rd line etc.
Ability to lead a junior team to deliver high-quality outputs within a pressured environment, for example, health check reports, stage gate reviews, and recommendations on whether a client is ready to progress to the next stage.
