Job Overview
This is a key role within our organization and involves providing competent safety advice to our range of key clients throughout Scotland.
The successful candidate will carry out H&S audits, provide clear advice and guidance on compliance requirements and best practices. This can include writing risk assessments, developing safe systems of work, and advising on practical requirements and training options.
Opportunity to develop HSE&Q Management systems and support through third-party certification.
Critical: The successful application MUST live in or around the Aberdeen area and be able to travel throughout Scotland.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage your client base and arrange support visits as per contractual requirements.
* Carry out audits and produce action plans to reflect.
* Assist clients with the implementation of their action plans.
* Update clients' Online Health & Safety Management System, which Safetynet Scotland provides to help manage their obligations more efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Develop policies, processes, and procedures in line with client requirements.
* Work closely with other team members to improve client offerings by sharing industry knowledge, improving policies and procedures, and updating current templates.
* Keep your H&S knowledge up to date in line with current UK health and safety law.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required; Cert IOSH and working towards Chartered status or extensive experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge and commitment preferred.
* The ideal candidate will hold Cert IOSH or CMIOSH status.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualifications desirable.
* Ability to communicate with all levels in various workplaces, build relationships, and work with clients to determine practical solutions to meet compliance obligations.
* Training qualifications and experience desirable.
* Lead Audit qualification and experience developing ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 desirable.
* Ability to carry out fire risk assessments for both small simple premises and complex larger site assessments.
* Full UK driving license required.
