NRL’s Engineer client is looking to recruit a Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer on a 12 month contract, to be based in Leven, Fife. This is offered on an Umbrella or PAYE basis.
About the role:
The role reports directly into the Site Commissioning Manager. The Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer, working as part of a multi-disciplined team, would be responsible for the following C&I activities as part of the commissioning execution:
Prepare internal and review vendor C&I commissioning and test procedures.
To read & interpret applicable technical information, including drawings, schematics, P&IDs, procedures, manuals, codes, and specifications.
Support as required Site Acceptance Tests.
Conducts detailed equipment, subsystem, Mechanical Completion walk-downs.
Carry out commissioning and testing activities in line with written commissioning procedures.
Commissioning activities undertaken in accordance with the commissioning programme.
Ensure all commissioning dossiers are maintained with up-to-date check sheets and commissioning records.
Identifying, recording, and rectifying of faults.
Management and witnessing of vendor activities.
What you will need?
The candidate who should ideally have a HNC in Control and Instrumentation Engineering or have significant and relevant time served control and instrumentation commissioning experience with a background in the energy, process or hydrocarbon industry. The position requires experience and an in-depth knowledge of instrumentation installation checks, calibration, loop checking, controls tuning, multiple HMI formats, and communication protocols.
CompEx (Ex01-Ex04) certification would be an advantage. Experience in the C&I commissioning of the following equipment is desirable:
Pressure, temperature, level and flow transmitters
Gas & heat detection systems
Analysers and metering systems
Vendor packages such as air compressors and emergency diesel generators
HVAC
CCTV and PIDS
Local control panels
PLC systems (SCADA, ICSS, SIS, ESD)
PAGA
Proof testing / functional safety
