Applications are invited from qualified and experienced administration candidates to join our busy Administration Team. We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Administration Assistant within our Sunderland Talking Therapies Team, based at Monkwearmouth Hospital.
This is a very busy service, and the successful post holder will be a member of the admin team to support the clinical team in providing a comprehensive, high-quality administrative service at all times. The post holder must have proven administration experience, including facilitating excellent customer service, and be confident in dealing with service users face to face as well as on the telephone. You will undertake a variety of duties including answering a busy telephone line, reception duties, dealing with day-to-day queries, updating patient information systems, sorting incoming/outgoing post, completing work from a shared inbox/work tray, as well as other administration tasks, all under the direction of the Administration Team Lead.
The successful candidate will be expected to cover receptions at Grange Park Clinic and Seaburn Lodge both on the Monkwearmouth Site. They will also be expected to cover Rosewood Reception at Hopewood Park.
Main Duties of the Job
Candidates must be able to demonstrate proven admin experience within the last 12 months in the following skills that are required for this post:
* Experience in a customer/patient-focused environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A good understanding of inputting data to a database system
* A good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages (Word/Excel/Office packages)
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to be self-directed, motivated, and contribute positively within a team
* Well organised and structured
* Flexibility in the role to meet the needs of the service
* Ability to deal with exposure to distressing or highly emotional circumstances and participate in relevant training courses
* Hold the required level of qualifications as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* Good general level of education to O-Level/GCSE or equivalent in English Language
* NVQ in Business Administration (or equivalent)
* NVQ Level 2 in Customer Care (or equivalent)
Skills and Knowledge
* Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Able to input data accurately and efficiently
* Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail
* Ability to maintain and update Patient Information Database(s)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
* Demonstrates good customer care skills
* Good working knowledge of office procedures
